Anaga Rural Park
Biosphere Reserve

Anaga Rural Park is a biosphere reserve located in the northeastern corner of the island of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, Spain. With an area of 14,500 hectares, it covers an important part of the island and extends through the municipalities of La Laguna, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Tegueste.

The Anaga Massif, located in the extreme northeast of the island of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, is a living natural lung that exceptionally combines a landscape of great harmony and beauty, a rich and varied natural diversity, and cultural values of enormous singularity. Anaga is home to a wide variety of plants and animals, including species endemic to the Canary Islands. It also preserves a rich cultural heritage, with unique traditions and customs. A network of roads and trails allows us to access places with excellent panoramic views and natural corners of singular beauty, as well as the numerous and picturesque hamlets in the area.

Black sand coves and beaches

The Anaga Rural Park, located in the extreme northeast of the island of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, Spain, has an irregular coast with several beaches and coves of great beauty. These beaches are ideal to enjoy the sun, the beach and the sea. However, it is important to keep in mind that some of them, like Benijo and Antequera, have intense waves and are not suitable for swimming with small children.In addition to these popular beaches, the Anaga Rural Park has other smaller, more isolated beaches and coves, which are perfect for lovers of nature and tranquility. Some of the most popular beaches in the park are:
